Luan Buki is a freelance commercial photographer and communication designer from Munich.

After growing up between bratwurst and baklava in a small village in Bavaria, he first came into contact with photography when a friend handed him an old SLR camera.

A few years later, he went on to study communication design with focus on photography at the Mannheim University of Applied Sciences. He began working as a freelancer early on in his studies. In the subsequent master's programme in Advanced Design at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich, he focused primarily on social, cultural and contemporary topics in design and photography.

Contrary to his energetic character, his work is defined by balance and authenticity — an image style that was mainly influenced by his expertise in analogue photography. Whether portraits, editorial or corporate, his favourite subject remains the human being. On set, you can usually find Luan wearing all black and drinking more Spezi than water.
